When a parent first learns about evidence-based therapy (EBT), they’re often met with a jumble of letters and a lot of confusion. CBT, DBT, EBT, PMT — It’s so hard to know what they all mean and which one is right for your child.
Therapist Jill DiPietro, LCSW helped us learn what makes something an EBT, how to be an informed consumer of the different options, and how to pick an appropriate provider. She also discussed some of the most commonly used EBTs used to treat different psychological difficulties in children and adolescents. At the end, she spent time answering questions from participants.
